Basketball is like a show,
The ball is as round as the Earth,
The ball is as orange as orange juice,
The uniforms are like costumes,
The coach is as loud as a siren,
The players are as tired as a dog,
The crowd is as excited as a kitten,
The stadium is as big as a house,
The players jump as high as a kangaroo.

The opposite of clean is dirty
as my room is dirty and my parents is clean,
The opposite of slow is fast
as my grandma is slow and I run fast,
The opposite of loud is quiet
as a truck is loud and a bird's hum is quiet,

Dark Poem

I was in a pitch black room and lost somewhere in time,
All of a sudden I'm being sucked down where there is no limit to anything,
I'm sucked into a world where there's a faint scream and a feeling of people walking past you, but you can not see nor hear them.
I realize I'm in a black hole and I have to get out, but I'm trapped-
And me finally jumping back into my own crazy mixed up world.

Rodeo

Mom and I get up at 6:00 a.m.
We load all our stuff.
We hook up to the trailer and load my horse.
We get gas and go.
When we get there we unload my horse.
I brush, saddle, and bridle my horse.
I check in.
Then I get my stuff ready for my event.
I try as hard as I can.
I roped my calf and got first place.
I went and picked up my money.
We loaded everything up and went home.
I fed and watered my horse.
When he gets done, I turn him out.

If I Were...

If I were a dog
I'd swim, play, and hunt.
When I heard my name be yelled I'd come running as fast as I could, because it meant dinner.
I'd slobber and drool because my steak looked so good.
After I went swimming, I'd shake until I dropped.
Next, we'd play ball. I'd run after it and catch it until I was tired.
Finally, we could curl up around the fireplace and warm up like a potato and fall asleep.
At least until the paperboy comes.

In basketball I remember everyone of the players running up and back down the court,
the players throwing the ball trying to make a hoop but the ball bouncing off the rim.
Free throws, one person trying to make a hoop from the free throw line and all the people watching. Everyone on that player's team wanting her to make it and the other team  not.
