                      My Family

My dad is as funny as
                   a famous comedian,
My mom is like
                    a twenty-four hour baby-sitter,
My brother is as smart as Sir Isaac Newton,
My sister is as lovable
                      as the cutest little puppy,
My baby sister, after her bath,
                      smells like baby powder.
My dog Todd is as fast as lightning.
My family is like the Adams fam
ily.

TEACHERS
N
o offense to the teachers!

Quiet as Ms. Siebrasse,
Blind as Mrs. Hauck,

Quick as Mr. Tate,
High as Mr. Doherty,
Strong as Mrs. Swanson,
Busy as Mrs. Snow,
Sick as Mr. Heibel,
Smart as Mrs. Cwach,
American as Mr. Olander,
Happy as Mrs. Palmer,
Slow as Mr. Hunter,
Stubborn as Mr. Ellwanger,
Sweet as Mrs. Case.
Nutty as Mrs. Douglas.

If I Were

If I were a dog, I would bark at the mailman.
If I were a cat, I would hiss at dogs.
If I were a fish, I would swim in Cow Creek.
But I’m not, I’m a human being.

DISNEY WORLD & CRUISE

trying to sleep in the car
the air plane rides

all of the geckos at are hotel
all of the walking
the bus to the cruise
the rain storm on the cruise

big glass windows
all the food you can eat
bargaining with the black people at Naussa
laying on the beach
swimming in the light blue ocean
collecting a bunch of sea shells
the nine hour lay over in the airport
the drive home

My Dog, Jhett

When I got, my dog, Jhett, she was as tiny as a kitten.
Jhett is as fast as an airplane and as sharp as a tack.
She is as colorful as a butterfly, but she can sting like a bee.
She looks like she has two black eyes like Muhammad Ali.
When you look at her face, it says,
”Yo,yo, I don't care. I'm as cute as a bear.”

Sadness

Sadness is navy blue like the night sky and also like the moon.
It moves through my body.
It reminds me of the time when I ate fish bait and thought that is was peanut butter.
It makes me feel sick like having the flu.
It makes me want to cry.

BASKETBALL

Orange is like a basketball,
Hot is like the sweat dripping down my face,
Cold is like my ice water waiting on the bench for me,
Sounds like a person stomping,

Tastes like popcorn,
Smells like a brand new car,
Looks like a huge bouncy ball,
Rough like crocodile skin,
Moves like a boat on the waves.

If I Were

                                                        If I were a dog, I’d run
and chase cats.
I’d eat dog biscuits.

The Best Sport on Earth

Quiet as a crowd with 3 seconds to go,
Blind as a Lambeu blizzard,
Wise as a lion,

Quick as a running back,
High as a nose guard,
Strong as the line,
Busy as the head coach,
Sick as the coach of the 01’ Lions,
Smart as a quarterback,
American as a patriot,
Happy as the super bowl winning team,
Slow as Gilbert Brown,
Stubborn as a colt,
Sweet as victory,
Nutty as the flea-flicker.

 My life

My life is like a roller coaster.
It has its ups and downs.

When it’s good, I feel like I’m soaring through time.
When it goes downhill, I feel like a lost child or one that’s ill.
Sometimes my life seems as perfect as a summer day.
Then someone makes it rain.
Yet no life is perfect like in storybooks.
But I still thank God for the life I live today!

Self-Portrait

My hair is like new pearls. My friends are like all of the colors of the rainbow. My ears are like elephant ears. My eyes are like glittering water. My heart holds passion for everyone and everything in the world that is red as fire. I live in a world of wonder and I eat like a PIG!

Branding

My sister and myself rise at 5:30a.m. to feed horses, curry, and saddle them for the round-up .

The crew arrives around 6:45a.m. to go to the pasture and gather the herd.

Mom and grandma are in the kitchen, making caramel rolls and the grub for the noon meal.

The herd comes to the home place to be sorted by cows and calves.

The neighbor brings the cows up the chute to be vaccinated.

Two ropers go into the pen of calves, rope them and drag them to the rustlers.

Calves are then given shots, bulls are cut, and all are branded.

When all is done, the crew heads toward the house for the meal and some good company.

Everything

Quiet as a mouse,
Blind as a bat,
Wise as a wizard,
Quick as Mrs. Swanson
throwing the
golden apple,
High as a mountain,
Strong as an ox,
Busy as Mrs. Cwach on a crazy day,
Sick as a dog,
Smart as a teacher,
American as a flag,
Happy as I,
Slow as a turtle,
Stubborn as a guy,
Sweet as candy,
Nutty as a Nutter Butter candy bar.

CAMPING

Green like the trees in the forest,

Hot is like the sun beating down on me,

Cold is like the ground after it rains,

Sounds like the birds chirping in the morning,

Tastes like the fish when I just got done fishing,

Smells like the fresh dew on the grass in the morning,

Looks like the cliffs, grass, trees, and rivers,

Texture is like the pines off a pine tree,

Moves like the animals hunting for food.

Thundering Hooves

The hooves sound like thunder on a stormy night.
They sound like the bang of a hunter’s gun shooting at a pheasant.
Sounds like an avalanche of boulders falling down a mountain.
It sounds like K.C. calf roping at the NFR; translation: National Finals Rodeo.
