If I were a tube of toothpaste,

I'd ooze into corners of my container,

I'd swish onto my owner's toothbrush and break up all that plaque!

If I Were

If I were a basketball,

I'd bounce all the way to the other end to be rescued for the play,
My possessor would dribble,
     dribble,
dribble                   
for the lay-up
in which I would be thrust into the air.

I'd turn end over end for a rainbow arch to land into the threads of the net.
My only hope is to be captured for the pass for another play.

In the rapture of the game I would feel the excite of the plays,
the one who will capture all my time
depends on the skill of their game.

I'd be glad for the final buzz which will determine my possessor's fate.
Now I wait for the surroundings of another basketball.
